McQueen Autumn Winter 2025 Show

Galerie de Géologie et de Minéralogie, Jardin des Plantes, Paris

8th March 2025

COLLECTION — dandyism, unravelled and rewritten. Inspired by artists, writers and aesthetes decorated for distinction, borrowing from the codes of the Victorian Gothic.

SHOW SPACE — the Galerie de Géologie et de Minéralogie, part of the French National Museum of Natural History in Paris, housing scientific curiosities and wonders of the natural world.

The 187-metre-long gallery, complete with carved columns and wooden parquet floor is lined with cabinets containing 770,000 precious specimens, resonating with the Victorian fascination with botany and naturalism, a core theme at the heart of the Autumn Winter 2025 collection.

SET — conceived by British Tony Award-winning artist Tom Scutt, in collaboration with McQueen Creative Director Seán McGirr. A sharp stainless steel lined portal, cutting through the lacquered wooden architecture of the gallery; portrait-like, echoing The Picture of Dorian Gray. A contemporary synthesis of modernity and tradition, mirrored and askew, aglow in tungsten-tinged and absinthe-like light.

MUSIC — curated by Cyrus Goberville, the Head of Cultural Programs at Bourse de Commerce. Nineteenth century strings blending into hypnotic arpeggios by French musician Ange Halliwell. Followed by a soundscape cycling through genres and states after dark, featuring international artists and a continuing collaboration with British artists driving innovation in UK music.
